At 13.30GMT – Comedian Patrick Monahan, a previous guest, discusses the Middle East in the Olympics, cuddles and his recent stage material. Monahan (born 1976 in Ahvaz, Iran) holds his own at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival with a solo show at one of the main city venues. Monahan recently won the live reality TV competition Show Me The Funny.

Plus multi-media artist Haleh Jamali discusses her commission Trees of Life as part of the Paradise Restored exhibition at the Royal Botanical Garden, Edinburgh and her forthcoming film work. Her mural painting (pictured) is on display until September 30th during the Edinburgh festival. Interestingly with the exhibition, The Botanic Garden is exploring the regions of Iraq, Iran, Turkey and environs through the mountains, marshes and deserts of the region.
