Iran-UK Sonic Residency
After a long and involved selection process, we’re pleased to announce our selected group of applicants all have their UK visas and are able to visit the UK for what will be for all of them, the first time. This amazing news. The public performance with veteran improvising pianist and composer Veryan Weston and LCC Sound Art and Design graduates will be on Friday 13th December in the Queen Elizabeth Hall, Southbank Centre 6-8.30pm and you are welcome to attend. The group from Iran will prepare with the graduates from LCC under the tutelage of ‘the godfather of electro-acoustic improvisation‘ Keith Rowe, and Veryan Weston with whom they will perform.

Description: A two week residency in London for emerging Iranian sonic artists and digital music producers living in Iran or the wider the Middle East, North Africa or South Asia region. The residency, covers travel, costs and accommodation and takes place from December 9-22nd 2013. It is supported by Six Pillars, the London College of Communication – University of the Arts London and Southbank Centre.
