The Lahore Biennial Foundation hosts an arts residency for the first time at Karachi’s new and liberal Habib University. We hear from three of the four participating artists Chris Weaver, Abeerah Zahid and Mina Arham on the significance of the residency within the context of their own art work and their wider impressions of the world’s second most populous city.
The residency involves two guest lectures for Habib students, and is supported in part by the British Council, Pakistan for Chris Weaver and Fari Bradley to guest lecture at the Karachi University, Asia’s largest university in terms of physical size, and the Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture.

This ResonanceFM broadcast is part of a series of events supported in part by the Arts Council England, taking place in the UK between now and October, 2015 by Bradley and Weaver on their research in Pakistan. The series involves a public talk on October 14th 2015 at London College of Communication, University of the Arts London, hosted by the Sound Art Department as Points of Listening.
Other London events in the series include a two week exhibition of works by Bradley and Weaver opening October 13-25th at I’Kletctik Arts Lab, Waterloo.
