NEW SEASON: Six Pillars – Soul of a Nation

Six Pillars begins a new series on Resonance104.4FM this Autumn 2017 season.

This Wednesday 13th September, 9-9.30pm, repeating Friday 15th, 11-11.30am.

Museum consultant and award winning writer Sumantro Ghose discusses race, class and history in art with Fari Bradley at Tate Modern’s Soul of a Nation. Interspersed with tracks form the exhibition playlist, the show looks at provocative work by black artists and pamphleteers from the height of the Civil Rights movement, 1963, followed by more militant calls for African-American pride, autonomy and solidarity inspired by the newly independent African nations.

Soul of a Nation is at Tate Modern, London, until 22nd October 2017
